Terms of Service
The agreement between you and PlayTime when you use the Platform.
Last updated:Draft for legal review
This document is a working draft prepared for the PlayTime team. It has not yet been reviewed by a licensed Georgian lawyer and is not legal advice. Some details (such as certain Georgian compliance specifics) may be refined as the service evolves.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PlayTime website, mobile application, and venue-booking services (the "Platform"). PlayTime is operated by an Individual Entrepreneur registered in Georgia. By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. About PlayTime and the marketplace model
PlayTime is a marketplace that connects customers who want to book time at venues (such as gaming rooms, billiards halls, padel courts, and sports facilities) with the venues that operate them. The venue, not PlayTime, provides the actual service and sets its own prices, availability, and venue rules.
PlayTime earns a commission from venues on bookings made through the Platform. PlayTime is an intermediary platform and is not the provider of the venue services you book.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be able to enter into a binding contract under Georgian law to use the Platform. You can create an account using Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, or your phone number.
You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please give accurate information and keep it up to date.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
You must be at least 18 years old (or otherwise have legal capacity to contract under Georgian law) to make a paid booking.
3. Bookings
When you make a booking, you are entering into an arrangement with the venue for the time slot you select. PlayTime facilitates that booking and confirms it on the venue's behalf.
Availability, prices, and the specific terms of each booking are set by the venue and shown to you before you confirm. A booking is confirmed when the Platform shows it as confirmed and/or issues a check-in code.
4. Payment
How you pay. Depending on the venue and the booking, you pay either in cash directly to the venue at the time of your visit, or online through the Platform when you book. The available payment method is shown to you before you confirm.
Online payments. Online payments are processed in Georgian Lari (GEL) by our licensed payment service provider, Paysera, using a bank card (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay or Google Pay, or a bank-link (open-banking) payment. PlayTime does not see or store your full card details — card data is handled by the payment provider under the PCI-DSS security standard. By paying online you also agree to the payment provider's applicable terms.
What you are charged. The total amount payable — the venue's price for the time slot in GEL, including any applicable taxes and any clearly itemised PlayTime service fee — is shown to you before you confirm. By confirming, you authorise that amount to be charged.
Who collects the payment. Although your booking contract is with the venue (see Section 3), PlayTime — through its payment provider — collects payment on the venue's behalf and remits the venue its share. For card payments, the charge on your statement appears under PlayTime. PlayTime acts as the venue's commercial agent for collecting payment and is not itself the provider of the venue service.
Confirmation and receipt. A booking is confirmed only once payment has actually been received — for bank-link payments this means funds confirmed as received, not merely a payment that has been "initiated." On confirmation we issue a booking confirmation, a payment receipt, and (where applicable) a check-in code. If a payment is initiated but not received, we may treat the booking as unconfirmed and release the slot.
5. Cancellations, changes and refunds
Standard cancellation policy. Unless the venue sets a stricter policy shown to you before you book: you may cancel free of charge and receive a full refund of any amount paid online if you cancel at least 24 hours before the booked start time; cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time, and no-shows, are non-refundable.
Venue-specific terms. A venue may set a stricter cancellation policy (for example a longer notice window or a partial-refund rule), which is shown to you before you confirm and forms part of your booking. A venue cannot set terms that remove rights you have under mandatory Georgian consumer-protection law.
How to cancel. Cancel through the Platform where supported, or contact the venue. The time of cancellation is the time we receive your request through the Platform.
How refunds are made. Approved refunds are returned to the same payment method you used (cash refunds are not available for card or bank-link payments) and are normally processed within 5 business days of approval; how soon the money then appears depends on your bank or card issuer. Where a full refund applies, the venue's service price is refunded in full.
If the venue cancels or cannot provide the service. If a venue cancels your confirmed booking, is closed, or cannot provide the booked service, you are entitled to a full refund of any amount paid online — contact us at [email protected] and we will arrange it.
Right of withdrawal. A booking of a venue time slot is a leisure or recreation service supplied on a specific date or period. Under Georgian consumer-protection law (and equivalent EU rules), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to such date-specific leisure bookings; the cancellation terms in this Section, and any stricter venue terms shown to you, govern cancellations. This does not affect other mandatory rights you may have, including where a service is not provided as agreed.
Problems and disputes — please contact us first. If something goes wrong with a paid booking, contact us at [email protected] before asking your bank to reverse the charge. We aim to resolve refund and dispute requests quickly and will respond within 3 business days.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Platform lawfully and not to: make fraudulent, fake, or abusive bookings; impersonate others or misuse another person's account; interfere with, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Platform; upload unlawful, offensive, or infringing content; or use the Platform in a way that harms PlayTime, venues, or other users.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.
7. Venue responsibilities
Venues are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, their availability and pricing, the quality and safety of the services they provide, and compliance with applicable law. The relationship between PlayTime and venues is governed by a separate venue agreement.
8. Reviews and content
You may be able to leave reviews and ratings. Reviews must be honest, based on a genuine experience, and must not be unlawful, abusive, or misleading. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
The PlayTime name, logo, software, and content are owned by PlayTime or its licensors and are protected by law. You may use the Platform for its intended purpose but may not copy, modify, or exploit it without permission.
10. Data protection and privacy
How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy (available at playtime.ge/privacy), which you should read alongside these Terms. Card payments are processed securely by our licensed payment provider under the PCI-DSS standard, and PlayTime does not store your full card details. We process personal data in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Because PlayTime is an intermediary, the venue is responsible for the service you book. PlayTime provides the Platform on an "as is" basis and does not guarantee that a venue will perform as expected, that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that listings are always complete and accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by Georgian law, PlayTime is not liable for the acts or omissions of venues, for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your failure to follow a venue's rules or cancellation policy. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Georgian law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights.
12. General
Force majeure. Neither PlayTime nor a venue is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control (for example outages, strikes, or natural events). Where such an event prevents a paid booking from going ahead, you are entitled to a refund of amounts paid online for the affected booking.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
Assignment. PlayTime may transfer or assign these Terms (for example if the business changes its legal form); you may not assign your rights without our consent.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with any venue policy shown to you and our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and PlayTime regarding the Platform.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Platform, venues, or other users. You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the law of Georgia, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Georgia, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
